CALCULATING THE MERIT ORDER  
 
  Welcome to the Merit Order Model for Week 1. In this model, you are the owner of a power production company have 6 generation units: Coal, OCGT, CCGT, Nuclear, Wind and Solar.  Each of these units have a capacity of 500MW. You can bid these units at the marginal cost, which depends on the price of the fuel of the given generation unit. You can change  the boxes highlighted in orange to change the marginal cost of the generation units. This can be used to answer the questions on the EdX page.
